Chris Watkins

Chris Watkins enjoys drawing what he sees when he walks in the countryside. Over the last eighteen months he has drawn views near his home in North Somerset, concentrating on a clearing in the woods half an hour’s walk from his front door. He has walked this way at least once a week for the last 27 years. Walking through this clearing arouses family memories, as it is a way he frequently came when his children were young. He has done large charcoal drawings of each side of this clearing, which he has then developed into prints, chiefly using lithography.
