India Hessian’s work is concerned with the creation of atmosphere. Using the forest as a theme, Hessian immerses the viewer in the balance between texture and form. She invites an exploration of detail, to take a closer look and to notice the beauty of her subject matter. Hessian creates large-scale semi abstract compositions that utilise drawing as the primary medium.
