Molly Treanor
“To photograph people is to violate them, by seeing them as they never see themselves, by having knowledge of them that they can never have; it turns people into object.” -Susan Sontag.
Treanor uses photography as a way to capture a person and using collage helps her give narrative to the imagery she captures. Being inspired by artist such as Hannah Hoch and Raoul Haussmann she wants her resulting images to be fragmented and different from the one she began with, taking on the effect of Chinese whispers as the image keeps changing.
